About Gruff
Let me introduce myself and my work to you. I'm Gareth "Gruff" Jones (Gruff being a nickname I picked up in my teens!) I am one of the country's leading motorsport artists, specializing in motorcycle racing paintings and prints, from both modern and classic eras.

As I have been closely involved with motorcycle racing for the last 35 years, I understand what conveys excitement in a motorcycle action painting.
I competed in road racing on short and road circuits from 1976-1997 after two years of motorcycle grass-tracking.
I have been a self-employed artist for the last 20 years and for the last 10, my daughter Carolyne has been working with me.
Some examples of my work are owned by stars past and present (including Valentino Rossi, Joey Dunlop, Chris Walker, Troy Bayliss, Noriyuki Haga and Carl Fogarty to name but a few) as well as grassroots racers.
I am able to work from your own photograph or create something more unique from reference shots.
I have a wide selection of bikes and riders available ‚ to date I have painted around 1000 original works. Indeed, some of our most valued customers have taken pleasure in collecting my work over a number of years. Many of my prints are limited editions (usually below 500 in number) and are signed by the riders themselves.
Although I specialize in motorcycles, other subjects may be commissioned (time permitting), with the added benefit of 'See before you pay'.
